Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how PosRank works: verified reviews, NPS, widgets, audits and visibility in search engines and AI assistants.

About PosRank

What is PosRank?

PosRank is a business reputation platform: it brings verified customer feedback together in a public profile, measures satisfaction through NPS surveys, links ratings from other review platforms and audits a business's presence across 25 channels and AI engines.

Does PosRank sell reviews?

No. PosRank does not write or publish reviews on anyone's behalf. It verifies reviewers' email addresses, identifies their relationship with the business and shows whether a reward was offered. Each person publishes external-platform reviews directly on that platform.

What types of businesses is it for?

Any business with customers: software and SaaS, shops and local services, tourism, ecommerce, agencies and consultancies. The audit identifies which review channels matter in each case.

How much does it cost?

Creating a business profile and running the initial audit are free. The review widget, NPS surveys and campaigns require a paid plan, which you can purchase from the dashboard.

Feedback and reviews

How does PosRank verify feedback?

The reviewer confirms their email with a one-time code, declares whether they are a customer or employee and accepts the terms. Their feedback is published once the email is verified and may be removed if it violates the authentic-review policy.

Are negative reviews published?

Yes. Reviews with all ratings are published. Employee reviews are shown as workplace feedback and do not count toward the customer score.

Can I offer a reward for feedback?

Only for customers' own reviews on PosRank, never for a particular rating, and the reward is disclosed alongside the review. Rewards are not offered for Google reviews or other platforms that prohibit them.

How is a business's PosRank score calculated?

It is the average of customer reviews published on PosRank. It does not include workplace feedback, NPS responses or ratings from other platforms, which are displayed separately.

Which ratings from other platforms appear on the profile?

Ratings from platforms linked by the business, such as Google, Trustpilot and G2, with the score and review count that PosRank could verify during its analysis and the date of verification.

NPS and the widget

Are NPS responses public?

Comments are private unless their author chooses to publish them. If the business enables it and has at least 10 customer responses, scores are converted to stars and combined with reviews into a single rating. Authorized comments are mixed with reviews in the profile and widgets under Customer. Identity, contact information and voice recordings remain private.

How does the review widget work?

It is a script installed on the business's website. It displays a button or window inviting visitors to answer the NPS survey and leave feedback on PosRank or another platform, respecting visitors who have already participated or asked to see it later.

Does the widget use third-party cookies or trackers?

No. It only remembers in the visitor's browser whether they participated or postponed, using local storage and first-party cookies belonging to the site itself.

Client reputation (suppliers and partners)

What is client reputation?

The rating suppliers, agencies and partners give a business for how it behaves as a buyer: whether it pays on time, is transparent and honors its agreements. PosRank is the only review platform that measures and publishes it as a separate category from customers and employees.

How do I rate a business as a client?

Find it in the business directory, open its profile and use the Suppliers and partners invitation, or the direct link sent by the business. Verify your email with a code, rate it from 1 to 5 and describe your experience. You can use your name or publish anonymously.

Do supplier reviews earn rewards?

No. This category has no incentives of any kind; nobody can buy a rating as a client.

How does a business enable its client reputation?

By creating a widget for the Suppliers and partners audience and, optionally, a partner NPS survey. Verified reviews are published on its profile with their own star rating.

SEO and GEO

What is GEO?

Generative Engine Optimization means working to get AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews to mention your business when someone asks about your category. It depends mainly on verified reviews in third-party directories and content that answers questions.

What does the free audit analyze?

Starting from your website, it checks your presence across 25 review channels, including profiles, scores and review counts when verifiable, your visibility in AI engines and technical SEO signals, then suggests which channels to prioritize.

Does PosRank allow AI crawlers to read the site?

Yes. PosRank's robots.txt allows GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot and Google-Extended on public pages, and publishes an llms.txt file summarizing the site.
