Clutch, Sortlist, Trustpilot, Google, and PosRank: who rates whom on each platform?

Choosing where to request reviews starts with a simple question: who will give feedback, and about what? This comparison organizes the most widely used platforms in the Spanish-speaking world by the direction of the review. Spoiler: all of them focus on the seller, except one.

Customers rating those who sell to them

Google Reviews, Trustpilot, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Booking, and Amazon collect consumers? opinions about a business, accommodation, or product. These platforms have the most reviews and the greatest impact on brand searches. Their value to a business is clear, as is their limitation: they describe how that business sells, never how it buys.

In B2B, the same logic applies under different names. G2, Capterra, GetApp, and TrustRadius collect users? opinions about software. Clutch and Sortlist collect customer reviews of marketing, design, or development agencies, verified through interviews or forms. If you run an agency, they are relevant to you; if you supply that agency, they offer you nothing.

Employees rating their employer

Indeed, Glassdoor, Computrabajo, and Elempleo change the subject, not the direction: they still involve people who receive something from the company (a salary and a work environment) and evaluate it accordingly. These are employment reviews, useful for employer branding and kept separate from customer reviews in any serious analysis.

The missing direction: suppliers rating a business as a customer

None of the platforms above lets sellers rate buyers. This blind spot has practical consequences: before accepting a contract, a supplier cannot know whether a business pays in 30 or 120 days, respects the agreed scope, or changes the rules at the end.

PosRank fills this gap with the “Suppliers and partners” category: email-verified reviews without rewards, a dedicated star rating on the profile, and a partner NPS. It is the only review platform that does this, and by design it keeps these reviews separate from customer and employment reviews.

Comparison table

Who gives feedback, whom they review, and whether the platform rates a business as a customer.

  • Google, Trustpilot, Facebook, Tripadvisor, Booking, Amazon: customers → the business that sold to them. No.
  • G2, Capterra, GetApp, TrustRadius: B2B users → the software. No.
  • Clutch, Sortlist, GoodFirms: B2B customers → the agency or service provider. No.
  • Indeed, Glassdoor, Computrabajo, Elempleo: employees → the business as an employer. No.
  • PosRank: customers, employees, and suppliers → the business in each role, separately. Yes, the only one.

How to combine them

You do not have to choose just one. A business with a complete presence has its Google listing, reviews on its industry’s platform (Clutch for an agency, G2 for software), and all three reputations together on PosRank: customers (which also links to and displays ratings from other platforms), employees, and suppliers. PosRank audits the 28 platforms in its catalog and tells you where your presence is missing.

Frequently asked questions

Can my suppliers rate me on Sortlist?

No. On Sortlist, as on Clutch, customers review agencies. For suppliers to rate you as a customer, you need PosRank’s Suppliers and partners category.

Does PosRank replace Google or Trustpilot?

No. It complements them: it displays their ratings on your profile, helps you get reviews there while following their rules, and adds what they lack: your reputation as an employer and as a customer.
